Join Rachael and Pierre as we explore the foundations of Mycoregen in a hands on practical approach at our living classroom at Changing Habits Farm.

Definition: Mycoregen- noun. The action or process of regeneration through the use of mycelium. Participants will cover the theory behind creating disturbance in an ecosystem and what happens thereafter. We will then apply this theory hands on, through ringbarking and inoculating woody weeds with endemic strains of mycelium. Addressing how we can effectively phase out woody weed stands (namely Camphor Laurel & Privet species) while at the same time provide food, medicine and a local economy.

There will be morning tea provided of home grown and organic snacks.

ENDEMIC MUSHROOM PRODUCTION – 1.30PM-4.30PM

Join Pierre and Rachael for a morning learning the fundamentals of endemic mushroom production in an outside environment using logs and wood chips to harness the potential that your landscape has to offer, yielding native edible and medicinal mushrooms in the process.

This workshop is beneficial for both small backyards and larger properties as you do not require much space to create abundant mushroom systems.

There will be afternoon tea provided of home grown and organic snacks.
